Demographical and clinical details: 43 years, Male, inability to flex the little finger at distal interphalangeal joint after street fight

Image Details: Consecutive sagittal fat saturated proton density images shows complete rupture of the third flexor digitorum profundus (FDP) tendon at its insertion on the distal phalanx of 5th finger with retraction to the level of the proximal interphalangeal joint (yellow arrow in sagittal image). .  Note the normal flexor digitorum superficialis tendon (white arrows). MRI findings are compatible with the diagnosis of jersey finger.
