Jersey finger

Demographical and clinical details: 43 years, Male, inability to flex the little finger at distal interphalangeal joint after street fight

Image Details: Consecutive sagittal fat saturated proton density images shows complete rupture of the third flexor digitorum profundus (FDP) tendon at its insertion on the distal phalanx of 5^th finger with retraction to the level of the proximal interphalangeal joint (yellow arrow in sagittal image). .  Note the normal flexor digitorum superficialis tendon (white arrows). MRI findings are compatible with the diagnosis of jersey finger.
